Famous grew out of Fleischer when Paramount took over the studio, and kept the Popeye series going (and the Superman series, altho some contend the Fleischers were almost entirely out of the picture by the time the Superman cartoons began). They also produced the Noveltoon series, with such luminaries as Herman and Katnip, Baby Huey, and Casper the Friendly Ghost.
